Dunlop Number 7 had a lot of boiler work done and needs time and work to get to be 100%
Despite its size and layout the Northampton Ironstone Railway Trust have an achievable set of objectives and the volunteers will be working hard on renovation. We have a shed able to accommodate the engine and are willing to work with the owners to get a reliable and useful engine. The owners live in the area and will be keeping hands on so it is ideally placed.
The owners also have other bits and bobs coming to NIRT soon including a steam crane runner and van. These will move and become usable and different attractions in their own right. With the friendly volunteers and helpers at NIRT we see a brighter future for these items maybe not suited to the bigger lines but that can still be preserved.
